I'm a writer, creator, homeschool mom, entrepreneur, and former fifth-grade teacher.
After teaching foundational writing to hundreds of fifth graders for 11 years, I acquired a plethora of knowledge to pass on to you. Each year, I improved the curriculum to streamline it, creating ease and flow during writing time.
When I first accepted a fifth-grade teaching job, I was worried but I took action quickly and found a solution.
The basic writing manual I bought to get me started morphed into a curriculum that has helped hundreds of children use their voices with confidence.

Over the years, I have worked with many children, and the vast majority claim they don't like writing and aren't good at it. I would tell them at the beginning of each year that even if they still don’t like writing at the end of the year, they WILL be good at it. And like anything, if they’re good at it, they enjoy it so much more.
I have learned as an adult that using your voice to speak truth is an invaluable tool. Teaching children foundational writing will empower them to feel confident while using their own voice whether through writing or speaking. I believe confidence in your writing abilities brings confidence to every area of your life. Learning in a safe environment where you are supported and encouraged to write and share your opinions will carry on throughout every child’s life. Teaching your children these invaluable skills will help them bloom through life in every area.
